05 Jan Real Talk | I’m Not A Damn Vending Machine
I’m not a damn vending machine. Okay, So don’t come to my office and expect me to just hand out medicine and push buttons. Oh, and here’s your medicine. Now go lose weight. That is not how I’m going to do this. I am not a vending machine. I don’t want to be a vending machine. I want to teach you about weight.
And I want you to be able to do this on your own. You want a vending machine? Go. Yeah. There’s plenty of doctors out there. Most of the doctors in this area, regardless whether a weight loss doctor or family practice doctor, if they’re all vending machines, you go there with a problem. “Oh, here, take this pill and get it over with.” You know what kind of advice they’re going to give you to lose weight? They’re going to say, “Oh, push back from the table and get some exercise.”
Seriously, you know, I need this kind of information from you? That’s like going to the gas station and saying, “Well, you need to…your car has got a knock in the engine. Well, change your oil and don’t drive it so much.” I don’t need this kind of stupid advice from people. And that’s what you’re going to get from a doctor that’s a vending machine. So if you want to go to then and get just the pills and the medicine, fine. With me you’re not going to get that. We are going to sit down and we’re going to have a conversation about what it is you’re doing wrong. We’re going to use some knowledge, we’re going to use some information, and we’re going to come up with a plan to make this happen.
