01 Jan Real Talk | Committing to Surgery Isn’t Long Term
If you’re going to exercise, you have to know how much exercise do I need to lose a pound if I’m going to choose different foods? How many foods or what can I choose to lose weight? I mean, this is all about knowledge. And even with weight loss surgery, how much we can expect to lose with weight loss surgery?
Well, that depends on how big your stomach is going to be afterwards. And still, what is your choice of foods? Because once again, I know a lot of people that have had weight loss surgery that have gained all of their way back and then some because for the lack of not being committed to maintaining that weight loss or not having the knowledge on how to do it because I’m pretty convinced that a lot of these surgeons that go and perform these surgeries do not talk to these people about calories, what kind of foods to eat, what are the expectations from it.
They just go do the surgery and say, there you go, you’re cured. No, you are not. You haven’t even begun to go down this road of weight loss and weight maintenance in your life. You committed to the surgery. You did not commit to the long term, the long haul. And I’m sorry, it’s a little bit on the rough side.
