06 Nov Real Talk | Admitting You Have A Problem
90% of the solution to weight is realizing that you have a problem in admitting to that problem. That’s that’s that’s the correction right there. Admitting you have a problem. A lot of people don’t want to admit I have a problem with weight. I have a problem with food. You admit that and you recognize that I can deal with that because we can come up with a plan. What you can do and what you can’t do.
I had a woman come in the other day. I was sitting there and we were talking about we were going through her menu. And I’m like, I’m not sure why you you have a weight problem. You’re doing everything right.
“I don’t know. The only thing I can think of is that Caesar salad I have every night.”
Oh, Caesar salad every night. How big is this Caesar salad? Oh, my God. It’s 1200 calories. You cannot have Caesar salad ever again for the rest of your life. No, it is horrible. And she was sitting there, “No, it’s good for you.”
No, it’s horrible. Tastes good. But no, it’s horrible. There’s no difference in calories between your Caesar salad or mayonnaise or ranch or blue cheese or Thousand Island. They’re all the same.
She goes, “I couldn’t believe that.” I know, but that is what the problem was.
