16 Oct Real Talk | Forgetting Disinformation
I would say there’s so much horrible wrong information out there. You do have to forget it. It is dangerous information that I go 20 rounds with athletic trainers, 50 rounds with dieticians that think they know what they’re speaking of when it comes to weight. They do not. They have struggled telling me what a calorie is. They maybe know what a carbohydrate is. To tell me the difference between a non-caloric carbohydrate and a caloric carbohydrate, they don’t know the difference. Structurally, they’re pretty much identical. But there’s a difference. Sugar makes us gain weight. The fiber does not. But the fiber is still non-digestible carbohydrate, and it’s in the majority of all the foods to a different degree.
